Alex’s story
For over a decade, I felt like I was getting nowhere. Stuck, unmotivated, learning nothing, just going through the motions. Then, one day, sitting in the van on a job I had grown to hate, something snapped.
I asked myself: What am I doing with my life? Why am I working for someone else? Why am I out here in the elements with cheap gear, doing their job, living paycheck to paycheck?
I didn’t have any good answers.
Then I asked: Could I do this myself? Could I build a better company, one with quality, care, and passion? The answer was yes. It wouldn’t be easy. It would be a mountain climb, but I was ready to do what it took.
So I called my friend Ryan (he was in the same boat), shared my vision, and he immediately got on board. Together, we set out to build ADD Shine.
From that moment, I started to feel different. I read books for the first time in years, listened to audiobooks, and focused on learning and improving myself. No more endless scrolling, just growth, knowledge, and progress.

I want ADD Shine to make a difference for everyone we work with. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for clients and our reputation matters. We want it reflected in every job we do. ADD Shine is about more than just clean windows; it’s about letting the light in, literally and figuratively, for everyone who joins us on the journey.

Hi, my name is Ryan.
I’m proud to be starting this journey alongside my co-founder and best mate Alex, someone I’ve known and trusted for over 18 years.
Together, we’re building ADD Shine on the core values of honesty and transparency. These are the principles I’m passionate about and what I really want our whole business to be about.
This new chapter is all about building a better future for our families and friends. One of our biggest goals is to create a workplace that truly rewards hard work and effort, a place where people wake up excited and motivated. We want that same positive feeling to carry over to our customers and everyone involved.
